Epimedium x versicolor 'Cupreum'

Epimedium x versicolor 'Cupreum' - fantastic spring foliage copyright © 2002 Mark McDonough

What's remarkable about this wonderful "Epi" is the striking spring
foliage, reminiscent of tropical Pepperomia plants with watermelon
leaves.  Here the foliage is an intense burnished red-brown color,
with lively chartreuse veining.  The oddly hued coppery blooms add
to the charm of this great woodland plant.

One of many hybrids between grandiflorum x pinnatum ssp. colchicum,
this one is a slow-growing gem (my plant is nearly 20 years old).
