This hybrid between the Japanese Arisaema
sikokianum
and the eastern North American A. triphyllum is certainly
an interesting cross, appearing intermediate between the
two species in some respects but surprisingly less so in
other features.
Similar to A. sikokianum, the spathes are open allowing
a view within. Notice in this view, the bold white stripes
are rather broad. I'm not sure if the stemless habit
is because this is a young flowering seedling, but I'm
inclined to think so. Thus far (in this young plant) the
foliage is 3-part, as in A. triphyllum, yet have a thicker
leathery texture resembling A. sikokianum.
