Scutellaria angustifolia
This American species of Skull-Cap (Scutellaria) is
found in the mountains of many western States and
British Columbia. Rather invasive and aggressively
spreading by underground stolons, it has pretty blue
flowers in June. The plants shown here have escaped
through the drainage holes of their potted confines,
spreading 1 meter in each direction, invading
the loose mulch with fleshy white rhizomes.
