Crocus goulimyi

Crocus goulimyi - Another beautiful autumn crocus, this one has
rounded goblets of opalescent lavender atop 5" tall stems.  Below are two
views taken on Nov. 1, 2003.  The white-flowered crocus in the background
is C. niveus, another beautiful autumn-blooming species.  Just visible in
the background, is the dwarf purple C. serotinus 'Poseidon'.



The flowers of Crocus goulimyi are sweetly scented, adding to their charm.
