This list of valid Allium species is currently under construction, with names added to the list weekly as research data is entered.  As that page is constructed, the list of synonyms will be updated at the same time.  It is beyond the scope of this effort to exhaustively list each and every synonym, misapplied species name, and early misidentified taxa.  Rather, the objective of taking a stand and listing all valid species, forces the listing of names that are rendered synonymous.  While I was at it, all generally listed synonyms are included to assist in determining which species are valid and which are not.
