Allium platycaule - cultivated plants |
|
| Photo
by Mark McDonough In this photo, a couple flower heads are fully open in early anthesis, just the inflorescence on the left with maturing pale yellowish anthers. The photo was taken late May. The two expanding flower buds near the top center, is Allium falcifolium, an allied species often confused with A. platycaule, but with a distinctly different look to the inflorescence.
