According to the grower of this potted show specimen of Allium falcifolium, it is common practice in England to cut of the leaves of show plants if the leaves are fading or blemished, perhaps considered a debatable procedure by some. Regardless, the closeup photo clearly displays the shape and disposition of the flower heads, the low plant stature, and the violet-lavender flower color in this specimen.
