Growing on seedlings from selected forms, the
resulting seedlings yield endless color variations, many
of which are difficult to classify. Here we see a bed
of 1-year seedlings, revealing some very interesting
colors. The true size, shape, and disposition of the
inflorescences can't be evaluated until the 2nd or
3rd year. The seedlings must also be separated out
and given room to grow, otherwise they'll tend to
persist as skinny, undersized plants.
